RG Aircraft Services specialises in aircraft cleaning and was established by Richard Gross to fill a gap in the market for an experienced, flexible and reliable partner. Its services range from external cleaning of aircrafts to anti-corrosion protection and aircraft de-icing. Its expertise produces positive results for its customers by reducing costs, improving efficiencies whilst staying committed to its environmental policies.
Having previously rented its de-icing equipment, RG Aircraft approached its bank with the view to purchase two machines and was subsequently introduced to Lombard. Purchasing rather than renting the de-icers would cut RG Aircraft’s hiring costs by £2k a month as well as enabling it to bid for bigger contracts. Richard Gross of RG Aircraft explains, "The finance deal Lombard created was fantastic. After you take into account Lombard’s competitive rates, the additional income earned from the de-icers as well the amount we’re saving on hiring costs, the machines are effectively paying for themselves. We were initially looking to purchase two trucks but ended up having three."
Richard Gross worked closely with Clare Peel, Lombard Relationship Manager, to ensure the funding was delivered quickly and efficiently. Clare explains, "The £50k Lease Purchase solution provided a suitable alternative to borrowing from the bank and it was vital the funding was delivered in time for the winter rush. These machines are unique, last a long time and retain their value. Although a relatively new company, we were able to progress the funding through credit by basing our credit procedure exclusively on the assets being funded."
Lombard's funding has enabled RG Aircraft to cut its hiring cost by £2k a month and supported the company in bidding for new, bigger contracts.
