Healthcare company's innovative product revolutionises sports advertising

A healthcare company providing treatment for sports injuries, physiotherapy and on-site training across the UK. Maymask counts BUPA, AXA, Medico-Legal Lawyers and Aviva among its clients, as well as several sporting leagues.
What did they want to achieve?
Maymask wanted to use its treatment expertise to create a product that helped to prevent serious injury during sports matches. They designed flexible advertising boards to be used around the perimiter of sports pitches that move intelligently on impact, minimising serious injury to players who hit them.
With a five year contract with Premiership Rugby Ltd to provide boards to the 12 teams competing in the league, they needed funding to engineer and produce the product.
How we helped
We provided funding worth £750,000 to be paid back over a period coinciding with the rugby season. Thanks to our flexible payment terms, the company had the security it needed to develop and manufacture the product in China.

A resounding success, the product Maymask developed sparked interest from other sports leagues in the UK and America. The company is now developing the boards to suit sports from netball to ice hockey and adapt them for use in schools.
