Standards of Lending Practice for business customers - Asset Finance

We are a Registered Firm with the Lending Standards Board which publishes the Standards of Lending Practice for Business Customers. The standards of Lending practice are voluntary and set the benchmark for good lending practice in the UK.

The Standards for business customers

The Standards of Lending Practice for business customers apply to organisations, which at the point of lending:

  • Have an annual turnover of no more than £6.5million in their last financial year (Exc. VAT & other turnover related taxes).
  • Do not have a company ownership structure (E.g. Businesses with overseas, multiple or layered ownership structures).

What products do they cover?

This set of standards applies to asset finance, namely Hire Purchase and leasing products.
Contract hire (motor/retail at the point of sale within dealership) is not currently in scope.

Our fees explained

We are pleased to provide some information regarding fees, which may be charged on agreements with us. Fees enable us to provide transparency to our customers in reflecting costs as they're incurred.

We charge an administration fee when we arrange your facility. This varies depending on the complexity of each transaction, with more complex deals attracting higher fees to reflect the extra work involved.

Your Relationship Manager or our Customer Services team will be very happy to explain the fees applicable to your specific facility.
